The charts on this Site are NOT official navigation charts. They are illustrations for planning and reference. Do not use them to navigate a vessel. Use current NOAA nautical charts, an approved chartplotter, up-to-date electronic charts, and proper piloting practice. Rocks, wrecks, shoals, buoys, and channel markers change without notice.
Fishing regulations, seasons, size limits, bag limits, closures, license and permit requirements, and species-specific rules change frequently. It is your sole responsibility to verify all current rules with Maine Department of Marine Resources (ME DMR), Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (MDIFW), NOAA Highly Migratory Species (HMS), and the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) — and any applicable federal, state, and local authorities — before every outing.
Directed fishing for Atlantic salmon is prohibited in Maine under the federal Endangered Species Act. If you accidentally hook one, release it immediately with minimal handling. Consult the ME DMR and NOAA Fisheries for current rules.
Boating and fishing carry real risk of injury and death. You are responsible for wearing a personal flotation device, filing a float plan, carrying required USCG safety gear, monitoring VHF weather channels, checking marine forecasts, and knowing your own limits and your vessel's limits. Do not use the Site's trip planner as a substitute for proper voyage planning.
Estimated catch rates, hotspot markings, seasonal predictions, and lure/rig suggestions are educated guesses based on public reports and general knowledge. They do not guarantee any catch. Nature does what it wants.
Tide predictions come from NOAA CO-OPS. Map tiles come from OpenSeaMap, OpenStreetMap, Esri, and OpenTopoMap. We do not control the accuracy or availability of third-party data.
